Jennifer Aniston Has Been Wearing This One Sexy Wardrobe Staple to Award Shows for Years

The Emmys on Sunday were the least watched Emmy award show ever with the lowest ratings in Nielsen history. Awards were accepted in living rooms and awkward pauses were plentiful. The awards themselves were delivered in hazmat suits. TLDR: a remote awards show is not necessarily what 2020 needed but at least Jennifer Aniston was there.
Some might even say Aniston saved the Emmys. The actress, who was nominated for her lead role in The Morning Show, was one of the few celebrities actually (not just virtually) at the Emmys. She presented the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series. Her schtick with Jimmy Kimmel involved joking about staying sixty feet apart instead of six while Lysoling the award envelope before setting it on fire to kill the germs. But the best part was the part that didn’t say a word: her subtle and sexy black slip dress.
Aniston obviously looked incredible and nailed the dress code for an award show that isn’t really much of an award show. Her look was like the opposite of Zendaya’s gorgeous Christopher John Rogers dress in that hers is a wardrobe staple everyone should have in their closet if they don’t already. Plus, it’s actually something you can wear in your day-to-day life sans virtual award shows.
This dress style isn’t new for Aniston, who has fallen back on the look for numerous award shows over the years. Looking back at photos from when award shows happened in person, it’s apparent that Aniston wears more sexy black slips than not. Even 7,000 days ago at the Oscars in February, Aniston changed into a LBD after her now famous runin with Brad Pitt for the after party.

And while LBDs are a simple enough look to make work off the red carpet, they’re not something most of us have use for right now with big plans postponed until at least the middle of next year. But listen, if Jennifer Aniston can wear one while presenting at a digital event, all of us can just wear one down our block if we please. Plus, clearly they’ll come in handy for years to come.
