Jennifer Hudson is all loved up.

During an appearance on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Hudson was asked about her and Common seemingly going public with their relationship on her talk show last month. On the Jennifer Hudson Show, both Hudson, 42, and Common, 51, described who they were dating without revealing any names.

As Kimmel, 56, pointed out viewers eventually realized they were talking about each other, Hudson joked on his show, "Is that what you gathered because I thought he was dating Whoopi Goldberg?" after the rapper mentioned his girlfriend was an EGOT winner.

Kimmel then questioned whether Hudson found it hard to interview guests like Common because she knew him so well. "I find it more difficult to interview someone I'm a huge fan of. Which is most of my guests, but that's when I freak out the most," she responded.

"I like people that I'm more familiar with because it's more like a conversation," the musician added.

Despite finding it easy to interview her other half, Hudson didn't agree with one of the comments he made during his previous chat.

As Kimmel insisted Hudson must have already known which part of Chicago her fellow Chicagoan was from when she asked him that on her show, she responded, "He thinks he's from the South Side. I'm from the South Side, he's from the East Side. It's a Chicago thing."

The couple first sparked dating rumors in 2022 when they worked together on their upcoming film Breathe, in which Hudson stars as Maya and Common plays Darius.

After confirming their romance, Common appeared on Today with Hoda & Jenna last month to talk about his new book, And Then We Rise: A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Yourself, when the discussion turned to marriage.

“I feel like I have grown and the work that I’ve done on myself has allowed me to see that I am a marrying type,” Common told Hoda Kotb after she asked whether Hudson could “be the one.”

He said that he’s “capable” of marrying someone, and that “at some point in my life, I may want to do that,” but he’ll “know when the right time is." The musician insisted, “I would communicate with that person, and if she’s feeling that, then why not?”
