Jennifer Lopez flaunts her curves like never before in a piece of sequin fabric: 'I’ve taken care of myself, and now it shows.'
Jennifer Lopez isn’t just talking about her curves for InStyle magazine‘s December cover story, but she’s also showing them off in a revealing piece of sequin fabric.
In a photo for the publication, the actress and singer posed in an emerald green Valentino Haute Couture cape, exposing the entire side of her body. And naturally, people are freaking out over the 49-year-old’s super-fit figure.

“This will break the internet,” someone commented. Another said, “She gets better with age, she is stunning.”
Although J.Lo talks a lot about her curves in the magazine profile, some followers are even saying that her body isn’t all that shapely.
“Curves????? What???” and “Do we still consider @jlo curvy? She has toned her body very nicely and is more on the slim side now” were comments from two people doubting her role as “a forerunner in the trend of embracing curvier body types,” as the magazine calls her.
Still, J.Lo opened up about her evolution in the industry and how she’s gotten to the “top of her game.” A part of that rise was embracing who she already was — a curvy girl from the Bronx.
“In my family, curves were glorified and part of the culture. It was just like, ‘Jennifer has a big butt, and it’s good,'” J.Lo said, recalling that size 0 models weren’t the people that she and her friends were exposed to or looking up to.
Luckily, being body positive when curves weren’t often seen in the industry allowed the 49-year-old to pave the way for other celebrities, like Kim Kardashian, who have since put different body types at the forefront of mainstream media. It’s not surprising, however, that J.Lo admits that keeping her body in tiptop shape means skipping out on caffeine and alcohol and, instead, getting lots of sleep.
“I’ve taken care of myself, and now it shows,” she said.
