Jessica Simpson’s Pantsless “Date Night” Look Is Aspirational

“Pandemic date nights look a little different these days.”

Let's face it: "date night" looks a lot different in 2020. For some of us, that means red wine, sweatpants, and The Office reruns. For others, like Jessica Simpson, that means no pants, stilettos, and sultry poses on your chair.

Simpson posted a picture of herself on Instagram, wearing a black bodysuit — sans pants — accessorized simply with zebra print platform stilettos from her eponymous shoe brand (available here for $98). "Pandemic date nights look a little different these days. No pants required," she wrote in the caption.

Simpson recently celebrated her six-year wedding anniversary with husband Eric Johnson (who presumably, she was enjoying date night with). "Eric Johnson, my Husband, I love you. 6yrs ago today I married my perfect soulmate," she wrote in a post on Instagram. "Our unity was written in God’s sky of colliding stars. Together we manifest dreams, nurture desire and hold space. Destined, it always has been and always will be, forevermore."

If we are basing date night look trends on Simpson's idea, we no longer have to worry about the restrictions of pants and can instead focus on other things, like how easy it is to actually wear heels when you have nowhere to go.
