SINGAPORE – JJ Lin’s fans, are you ready to get your hands on tickets to his Sanctuary Finale virtual concert today (12 May). Broadcasting worldwide on 6 June, this is Lin’s first ticketed online concert, and tickets will go on sale on Sistic, with prices ranging from S$38 to S$188.
Presented by Isotope Productions, Sanctuary Finale virtual concert promises “ground-breaking, immersive, and larger-than-life” content for the fans after more than a year in making. The 90-minute online concert will combine highlights from both Sanctuary 1.0 and Sanctuary 2.0 concerts, along with “the latest wardrobe, visual, music and choreography updates”.
In an Instagram teaser posted on Saturday, Lin wrote, “Any song requests for my Sanctuary Final virtual concert?” He was also seen rehearsing with musicians and tuning his guitar in the teaser video. The virtual concert will be live-streamed via the Sistic Live Stream, and Lin has also launched his Sanctuary App, downloaded on both the Apple iTunes store and Google Play store, to go with the concert.
The Time Traveller bundle, which is the cheapest at S$38, consists of a ticket for the online concert and a “Finale Passport”. The Sanctuary Complete Time Traveller bundle, priced at S$188, includes concert memorabilia such as an interactive luminous wristband, fabric poster, pictorial box set, and an eco tote bag. The additional concert goods are said to be special editions and are available in limited quantities.
According to zaobao.sg, the interactive wristband will light up during specific songs, allowing the online concert viewers to have an immersive experience and connection with the 40-year-old singer.
Lin’s popular Sanctuary world tour, which started back in March 2018, had drawn more than 1.6 million concert goers in 66 shows across 43 countries over two years. The concert tour had also made its stops in Singapore, selling out all his four shows here during August 2018 and December 2019. The last Sanctuary 2.0 concerts ended in Singapore on 22 December 2020, cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
