Jordin Sparks wears mini dress on the red carpet just 3 days after giving birth

Jordin Sparks has been full of surprises since shocking fans with news in November of her secret summer wedding to model Dana Isaiah, just days before revealing that the couple was also expecting their first child together. And now the American Idol alum is continuing to awe, as she stepped onto the red carpet three days after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy.

On Wednesday, the 28-year-old gave birth to a baby boy, Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr. at a birth center in Los Angeles, Calif. Both Sparks and Isaiah Sr. took to Instagram soon after to share adorable photos of the newborn, who’s already been nicknamed DJ.

Then on Saturday the star was camera ready herself as she stepped out wearing a Saloni floral mini dress with a plunging v-neck and a pair of black strappy heels for the premiere of her film Show Dogs. Although DJ was apparently somewhere at the event, Sparks was only seen playing with some puppies.

“It was just this incredibly miraculous, beautiful moment that I don’t know could ever be duplicated or replicated,” Sparks told People at the event. “Like you see it in movies, how emotional people get, but until you are actually sitting there it’s beyond anything I’ve ever felt in my life.”

Sparks had a natural water birth, and experienced a minor complication when DJ came out with the umbilical cord wrapped twice around his neck. Yet she admitted to ET that she was “sore, but good.”

The internet was thoroughly impressed with Sparks.
