Josh Heuston Breaks Down ‘Dune: Prophecy’ Scenes
Dune: Prophecy had some big shoes to fill. When Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two landed in cinemas earlier this year, audiences went crazy for the stylish adaptation of Frank Herbert's universe. HBO’s prequel show took us back a few thousand years and focused on the Bene Gesserit, a secretive organisation of women that harnesses the power of mind reading. In the film, that sisterhood is represented by the fearsome Rebecca Ferguson. Other familiar touch points include the striking, almost gothic architecture and of course the reliance on the all-important spice. The role of twinkly eyed, floppy haired hero, previously occupied by Timothée Chalamet, went to Josh Heuston.
Turns out that the Australian actor, who plays the naughty but nice Constantine Corrino in the series, is up for that particular challenge. In the latest episode of Esquire’s Freeze Frame, Heuston takes us through some pivotal moments for his character from the first four episodes (still two to go!). From working with Emily Watson to filming sex scenes, the actor has clearly embraced all things Dune. Who knows? Maybe he will follow in Chalamet’s footsteps and take on Bob Dylan next.
Dune: Prophecy is available to watch on Sky and NOW TV
