How Julie Chen stood by husband Les Moonves with just one word

Julie Chen returned to her hosting duties on Big Brother Thursday night after taking the week off from The Talk, following her husband Les Moonves‘s exit from CBS.

On Sunday, Moonves stepped down from the network as six more women had come forward with sexual harassment and abuse allegations. Before Monday’s broadcast of The Talk, Chen released a statement, saying, “I am taking a few days off from The Talk to be with my family. I will be back soon and will see you Thursday night on Big Brother.” While that live episode started with Chen acting as if everything was completely normal, she did something at the end that threw viewers for a loop.

“From outside the Big Brother house with Brett, I’m Julie Chen-Moonves,” she said Chen as she closed the show. It was the first time that Chen had ended Big Brother with “Julie Chen-Moonves,” and people definitely noticed. Some shared their shock on Twitter:

Big Brother airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and on Thursdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
