It's hard to believe that it's been decades since we first started taking fashion cues from Jennifer Lopez. Over the years, she's made us want to embrace low-cut dresses, add hats to our outfits, and layer our purses.

More recently, however, it's her socially distant style that has left us inspired. Whether she's spending time at her home in Florida or stepping out with fiancé Alex Rodriguez (and their masks!), the singer, actress, and designer has consistently pulled a move we never even thought was possible: dressing comfortable, but fancy at the same time.

Perhaps it shouldn't surprise us that she's becomes such a pro at this specific combination. We've already known that J.Lo enjoys working UGG boots into her looks, and we've definitely turned to her when it comes to picking out a new pair of leggings. Still, as the pandemic continues, we're taking all the tips we can get for how to remain both cute and cozy — whether we're slipping into sweats or throwing on a blanket dress.

Have Fun With Graphics and Prints

During her "One World: Together at Home" performance, Lopez paid tribute to Barbra Streisand by wearing that now-famous (and. sadly, sold out) Coach sweatshirt. She often works fun details into her outfits, playing around with graphics and prints. Even when she stepped out in a throw-on-and-go, breezy sundress, she chose one with a floral print up top, adding a little something extra to her casual look.

If you've been wondering whether or not this star owns a hoodie, the answer is yes — but she doesn't just settle for an oversized something from the back of her closet. While out in Florida, Lopez opted to wear this staple in a sweet, eye-catching neon color. The cropped fit and twisted-front detail quickly punched up her classic black leggings.

Go Full Matchy-Matchy

Lopez is also a big fan of coordinated sets, and she doesn't just stop at tie-dye sweats. For an appearance on "The Tonight Show," she showed off a matching bra and track pants combo from New Balance's Staud collaboration. While it was clearly built to handle even the most intense TikTok dances, the bright green color and zipper details convinced us it would still fly for every day activities, such as grabbing food or chilling in the park, too.

If anyone can make a major fashion statement with a pair of sweats, it's this woman. Lopez gave her own baggy bottoms a '00s twist when she styled them with a ribbed cami, some yellow-tinted sunglasses, and Timberland boots (with rhinestones on them, of course). It definitely made us rethink our lazy day looks — with a few key changes, they can be cute, too!
