The 37-year-old Canadian television personality took to Instagram on Wednesday to show off a new set of curls in a selfie taken while on vacation in Curaçao. In the snap, the "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" star wore a sleeveless beige mock neck top and gold hoop earring, while showing off her frizzy, voluminous head of shoulder-length hair.
For the location of her post, the Leduc, Alta.-native tagged five-star resort Sandals Royal Curaçao, located in the southern region of the Caribbean island.
"I went full Monica," Bristowe captioned her post, referencing the "Friends" character Monica Gellar.
Fellow celebrities and fans showed their love for Bristowe's new look in the comments of the post.
"OK but how? We need deets to achieve this look. Us fine hair ladies gotta stick together!" one fan shared.
"At quick glance, I thought this was Angelina Jolie!" another commented.
"Wait, you have naturally wavy hair? Own it — it looks great on you!" one person chimed in.
"Yeah, you did! Braids next?" someone quipped, making a "Friends" reference.
Several of the comments and Bristowe's caption reference an episode of "Friends" titled, "The One In Barbados." In the sitcom episode, aired in 2003, Monica Gellar enters a resort in Barbados with a frizzy head of hair due to the humidity, which eventually becomes a running joke among the friend group.
"Alright, I don't want to alarm anybody, but Monica's hair is twice as big as it was when we landed," Rachel Green, played by Jennifer Aniston, joked in the episode.
"When I go places with high humidity, it gets a little extra body — OK?" Gellar, played by Courteney Cox, hit back.
Eventually, Gellar said she "had it with the hair jokes" and decided to go to a salon before they all left the island. Later in the episode, she showed off a fully-braided hairstyle, complete with several white sea shells.
"What do you know? It's a treat for the eyes and the ears," said Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, as Gellar shook her new hair.
Another post Bristowe made earlier this week included a shot of the duo hugging and posing for the camera at the resort, to which people showed their love for the meet-up in the comments.
"Rrrreal cute. Love you," Sutter wrote.
"She really is our queen," one person added.
"Two beauties," another shared.
"This is iconic," someone penned.
"Aww, this picture makes me happy," someone else raved.
