Kaley Cuoco Has Emotional Reaction to Proposal: 'Still Crying'

Kaley Cuoco is engaged — on her 32nd birthday!

The Big Bang Theory star’s now-fiancé Karl Cook announced the couple’s engagement on Instagram Thursday, sharing a video of his fiancée’s reaction to his proposal.

“Well after nearly two years I finally got up the courage to ask her to marry me. This is the best night of my life and I think the video shows it is the best night for kaley as well… of she said yes!” the professional equestrian captioned his footage of Cuoco crying uncontrollably.

Soon after, she shared the same video, writing, "Still crying," along with a ring emoji. "Every part of this night has been perfection just like you @mrtankcookI love you forever!"

Cook also shared a close-up shot of the gorgeous pear-shaped diamond ring he presented his bride-to-be after nearly two years of dating.

“I am so so so happy. Thank you @nadis_diamonds for making the greatest ring I could hope for. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you thank you,” he said.

The couple ended the great evening with a slow dance. Cook noted, "In life, there is nothing like dancing right after getting engaged. The purity and grace of the moment are inexplicable, it is truly as though life were a balloon bouncing on the smoothest zephyr. Honey; all I want is to be a balloon bouncing, bobbing, and flowing through life together. You are my everything @normancook."

Just hours before sharing the proposal on social media, Cook teased Cuoco with a fake ring while shopping at Target.

“On my loves birthday I got her everything she has always wanted….now judging by her face maybe not, it’s the thought that counts right,” he shared.

Cuoco and Cook, who both love of horses, started dating in spring 2016 and made their first public appearance as a couple in September that same year. She split from husband Ryan Sweeting in the fall of 2015, filing for divorce after 21 months of marriage. (The proceedings were finalized in May 2016.)

Asked by PEOPLE in August, if marriage is in the cards again, Cuoco said that she’s “open to anything.”

“I don’t know what the path is going to take,” she said. “But I’m very happy right now.”
