Kardashian sisters slammed for offensive Halloween behaviour
Surprise, surprise! The Kardashians are under fire yet again.
This time, the famous family is receiving criticism for their behaviour at Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party earlier this week.
Despite being ultra conscious of her online reputation, Kim Kardashian West is being called out online after using an offensive term while complaining that her fans didn’t understand her costume.
The 38-year-old reality-TV star shared a video from the party to Instagram in which she’s dressed as Pamela Anderson. In the clip, which has since been deleted, Kardashian West reportedly complained that party guests were “too f—ing young” to know who she was dressed up as.

The mother of three then implied those who didn’t get her costume were developmentally impaired by referring to them as the R-word.
That was a really unnecessary use of the word retarded. I think we should all know & do better by now. It breaks my heart and angers my soul when I hear that word thrown around, knowing the pain that it carries. @KimKardashian

The star has has since deleted the video from Instagram and issued a public apology to TMZ.
“I want to apologize for what I said in a recent video post that is inappropriate and insensitive to the special needs community,” she said. I try to learn from my mistakes, and this is one of those times. Please know that my intention is always pure, and in this case, it was a mistake. I’m sorry.”
The eldest sibling of the famous clan, Kourtney Kardashian, is also making headlines for her choice of costume. The 39-year-old dressed as “Fook Mi,” an Asian character from Austin Powers.

Given the attention surrounding the family’s multiple missteps in the realm of cultural appropriation, it’s discouraging to see the careless choice in dress given the platform they have online. Combined, the pair of sisters have 188.8 million followers on Instagram alone.
At time of publication, no statement or apology has been issued by Kardashian addressing her costume.
