Lily-Rose Depp Was a Child Bride for the Chanel Couture Show

Only Karl Lagerfeld could takes a superstar’s 17-year-old daughter, put her in a pink gown, and waltz her down the aisle like a child bride, and get away with it. And that is exactly what he did at the Chanel Spring Summer 2017 show during Paris Fashion Week.

Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp, 17, closed Chanel’s show on Tuesday in a oversized, ruffled, baby pink gown. She was drowning — in a chic way — in the voluminous skirt and matching sleeves. It had a corseted bodice, a peter pan collar and a large belt.

As the Chanel bride (it’s haute couture tradition that the last model to walk down the runway wears a wedding gown), a staple in Lagerfeld’s shows, Depp owned the runway and made every bride-to-be, or, perhaps more appropriately, prom-queen-to-be, drool.

This is her second time on the runway for Chanel, following her debut in December at the house’s Métiers d’Art show, where she walked alongside Cara Delevingne, a former couture bride several times over.

Depp is a Chanel veteran at this point, having starred in an eyewear campaign for the house back in 2015, and as the current the face of their fragrance, Chanel No.5 L’eau.

She walked alongside Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, who has also played the role of Lagerfeld’s bride.

Since Depp’s dress was a showstopper, her makeup and slicked back hair were kept simple to balance it out.

After she closed the show, Lagerfeld joined her on the runway, a true honor.

Combine the rose hue of the gown with the light swipe of rouge on her cheeks, and Depp makes a seriously blushing bride.
