Kate And Wills Jet Off On Holiday With George And Charlotte

School’s out for the summer - and so are the Cambridges. The royal foursome have flown to France for a family holiday and touched down in Pau-Pyrenees yesterday afternoon, according to local publication La République des Pyrénées.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their two children decided to give public transport a miss and instead flew in a private plane owned by their close friend the Duke of Westminster. Talk about friends in high places…

While it’s not known exactly where the royals have set off to in France, it’s thought that the young family are visiting friends. The airport that they flew into is some 70 miles from the coastal resort of Biarritz - so they may simply be taking the children to soak up some sun and make some sandcastles.

Clearly, Kate and Wills are fans of France - the holiday destination that they chose for their winter getaway (and first trip as a family of four) earlier this year. They also used the Duke of Westminster’s £8m private jet then too. No EasyJet for this particular family.

Back in March, Kate and Wills took Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, one, to a ski resort in the French Alps for a short ski break - and shared a couple of lovely family photos from their escape.

Here’s hoping they decide to share a few more photos from their summer holiday in the next few weeks. What we would give to see Prince William lovingly sculpted into a sand mermaid by George…
