As any parent will know, carrying your children can be something of a workout on its own.
Kate Hudson has opened up about the unexpected impact on her hips and shoulders of raising three kids.
The actress, 42, shared how she's now using exercise to "balance" out her body.
Captioning a post on Instagram showing how she's using fitness to rebuild her strength, she wrote: "She’s starting to wake up! Carried 3 babies who did a number on these hips and shoulders!
"Ladies! We carry our beautiful children ALL DAY LONG (literally AND figuratively) and forget to balance it out.
"Time to balance that SH#! OUT!"
The mother-of-three – who is the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn – can be seen exercising at the direction of a personal trainer.
Her efforts went down well with fans, who left more than 390,000 'likes'.

The How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star is a well-known fan of fitness, and founded the activewear brand Fabletics.
Hudson has a 17-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson, as well as son Bingham, nine, and daughter Rani, two, with her ex-partner Matt Bellamy.
Now dating Danny Fujikawa she recently revealed how her own mother Hawn had inspired her when it came to raising her children.
Speaking to People, she said: "I remember, I used to say, 'Oh, I'm bored.' And [my mom would] be like, 'Good, be bored. Figure something else to do. Figure something out.'
"As I had my own kids, I realised it's really good for them to be bored and... just spark their imagination."
