Kate Middleton was a sight to be seen at the UK premiere of Top Gun: Maverick at Leicester Square in London on Thursday evening.

Making an unforgettable entrance alongside husband Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge oozed old Hollywood glamour, wearing a form-fitting, off-the-shoulder black and white gown by Roland Mouret. The royal style maven paired the elegant number with black pumps and a matching clutch, as well as starburst drop earrings. She opted for smokey eye makeup with her hair styled straight, tucked behind her ears. The Duke of Cambridge, for his part, looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo teamed with a bow tie.

Upon arriving on the red carpet, the royal pair were greeted by film's OG star Tom Cruise, who held the duchess's hand as she walked up the stairs, as well as Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, and Miles Teller—who plays the son of Cruise's late, partner Goose, from the original movie. Kate and William are also set to be introduced to some of the film studio executives and director Joe Kosinski, and representatives from The Film and TV Charity, a British foundation that supports those who work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.

The Top Gun: Maverick premiere marks the Cambridge's first red carpet event of the year. They last attended the UK premiere of No Time to Die at the Royal Albert Hall last September with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla. For that memorable appearance, Kate dazzled in a glitzy, gold gown.
