Kate Middleton may have been at Buckingham Palace, but she may as well have been in Arendelle. For the Queen's annual holiday party for diplomats, high commissioners, and their staff, Middleton chose a very Elsa-from-Frozen gown covered in glittering sequins — proving that some holiday traditions transcend royals and normals like. She topped off the look with the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara, one of Princess Diana's most-worn pieces.

The show-stopping tiara wasn't Kate's only accessory of the night. She pinned her brand-new Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth pin to her gown. We're still getting used to seeing the yellow bow and its glass pin, since Kate's the first person in over a decade to receive the honor. Kate wore a pair of Princess Diana's favorite earrings, too, adding plenty of familial tributes to the night's ensemble. To show off the entire jewelry suite to its full effect, Kate wore her hair in a soft updo and kept her makeup in line with her usual subdued, everyday glam.

People notes that Middleton wasn't the only royal to opt for a snowy look. Both Queen Elizabeth and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, wore off-white looks, creating a trio of dreamy white gowns during their entrance procession. Kate was the only one of the three not to wear a blue sash, but with that bold yellow pin and her mega-watt smile, there wasn't a single thing missing from her outfit.
