Prince William and Kate Middleton were in the City of Bradford to visit several local projects and businesses that support and promote “community cohesion.” The Cambridges looked to be in good spirits as they greeted well-wishers during their first official outing of the New Year.
Middleton looked polished in a khaki green military coat by go-to designer Alexander McQueen, Gianvito Rossi suede pumps ($720) and carried her favourite Midi Mayfair Bag by Aspinal of London ($1,011). The Duchess happily accepted roses from the crowd and even stopped to give a hug to an excited young boy who held the royal’s hand as they spoke.
The Duchess showed off her penchant for mixing high fashion pieces with affordable brands as she arrived at Pakistani restaurant MyLahore. The mother of three paired the designer items with a $151 houndstooth printed dress from Zara, and $10 Dazzling Ceramic Drop earrings by Pakistani fashion brand Zeen to mix mango Kulfi milkshakes with the restaurant owners. The royal couple then made their way to Bradford City Hall to meet with young people seeking employment as the city faces high unemployment rates.
Since Middleton’s Zara dress is now sold out, we’ve rounded up other houndstooth looks to add to your wardrobe.
