Kate Middleton impersonated a celebrity on her hen night and we’re living for it
Anyone who's ever been on a hen night (or celebrated their own) will know just how wild they can be – yep, penis straws and naughty inflatables an absolute MUST. It's no wonder then, that even members of the Royal Family engage in the tradition before they walk down the aisle. And, future Queen Kate Middleton is no exception.
But, while we don't know for sure if the Queen-to-be found herself wearing a pair of L-plate teeny boppers and downing tequila shots during her hen night, we do know that she put on quite the performance for her bridal squad ahead of her 2011 wedding to Prince William.
As it turns out, the now Duchess of Cambridge dressed up as former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl for her hen party, which was organised by her sister and maid-of-honour Pippa Middleton. But, not only did Kate dress up as the iconic musician, wearing that outfit from Cheryl's 2009 "Fight For This Love" music video, she also took to the stage and did her very own rendition of the dancefloor hit.
Speaking about the moment she found out about the Duchess' impersonation, in her autobiography Cheryl revealed it was Prince William who spilled the tea. "Did you know you’ve got a bit of competition?" The Duke of Cambridge reportedly asked Cheryl when he and Kate met her backstage at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
"Kate confessed that she dressed up as me on her hen night, in a bodysuit and split trousers, and sang 'Fight For This Love'," the artist wrote. "She even learnt the dance routine and was step-perfect by all accounts, as her sister Pippa and brother James also came over and told me all about it."

But, it seems Kate's party days are somewhat behind her, as she took a more relaxed approach when it came to celebrating her recent milestone birthday. Earlier this month, on 9 January, the Duchess turned 40-years-old and marked the occasion with three very regal portraits.
The images, which were taken in November at London's Kew Gardens by photographer Paolo Roversi, were shared on her official Instagram account, and will be on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London's Trafalgar Square when it re-opens in 2023. Until then, the photographs will be displayed over the course of 2022 in three places that hold a special place in the Duchess' heart – Berkshire (where she grew up), St. Andrews (where she met Prince William at university) and Anglesey (where she and the Duke lived after their 2011 wedding).
