Kate Middleton & Prince William Have a Rare Case of the Cuddles During Royal Baby’s Debut

Kate Middleton and Prince William rarely show PDA, but today was a sweet exception to the rule.

The couple celebrated the arrival of their third child by getting subtly handsy with each other not once but twice during the new little prince’s grand debut outside St. Mary’s Hospital in London.

While most eyes were on the adorable little burrito prince, we couldn’t help but notice Prince William’s hand on K-Middy’s back. Aw!

Then, as the royal family left the hospital, William took the PDA up a notch and held his wife’s hand. Gasp.

Wonder why we don’t see as much PDA from William and Kate as we do from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Well, while there’s no formal rule that states future monarchs can’t show signs of affection, Queen Elizabeth II set a precedent that encourages royals to keep their hands to themselves. Since Prince Harry is now sixth in line to the throne, it’s unlikely he’ll ever rule the Commonwealth. William, on the other hand, is expected to succeed his father, Prince Charles, so he and Kate are typically on their best royal behavior during public outings.

Royal rules aside, who wouldn’t want to give K-Middy a pat on the back for delivering yet another yummy little one?
