Even Kate Middleton can't help but rewear a favorite sweater. The Princess of Wales was snapped in Holland Cooper’s Fairisle Knit sweater in cream during a conversation with English radio host Roman Kemp at Kensington Palace, part of Kate's "Shaping Us" campaign.
According to the Palace, the Princess and Roman spoke about "the importance of mental wellbeing, relationships and how by nurturing children in the earliest years of their life, we can build a society of healthy happy adults for generations to come."
Earlier this week, Kate traveled to Leeds to promote Shaping Us. "We all need to know the critical importance of our early childhood. They really are years like no other in our lives. I urge everyone reading this, to take the opportunity to learn more about this incredible time of life, to think back to your own childhood and how it shaped you, and most importantly, to ask yourselves what you can do to make the world a more supportive and loving place for our children. Because healthy, happy children shape a healthy, happy future," Kate wrote in her open letter about the campaign.
Her fashion choices surrounding her "Shaping Us" engagements have tended to the more professional—from the red suit she wore at the pre-launch event to the Alexander McQueen jacket in Leeds. Today's sweater, jeans, and what appear to be her brown Blundstone Chelsea boots is definitely a more casual and relaxed look from the Princess of Wales.
The Fair Isle style has long been associated with royalty; it first gained popularity when Edward VIII (later the Duke of Windsor) wore one in 1920. Kate last wore the sweater promoting her Christmas Carol Concert in December 2022 (below), and reading a bedtime story in February 2022.
Though Kate's beloved sweater is currently out of stock, we found some similar fair isle styles you can shop here:
