Kate Middleton Rocked a Band-Aid for Christmas, Proving She’s Both Royal and Relatable

Kate Middleton had an interesting accessory for church services on Christmas: a Band-Aid.

Middleton took the historic stroll in Bucklebury, West Berkshire, with her husband, Prince William, and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, looking elegant in an oxblood coat from British high street brand Hobbs.

On her left hand was, obviously, her engagement ring, but also a nude-colored Band-Aid wrapped around the tip of her thumb. The fact that she’d leave the house — or palace, perhaps — with a Band-Aid on is just further proof that the Duchess really is of the people. Some celebs would have had a surgeon come in and miraculously fix the boo-boo before stepping outside, or they might have worn ridiculous gloves. Or they just wouldn’t have left the house at all until it was healed.

Although Middleton is royalty and, by definition, the furthest thing from relatable, she has proven once again to be one of the most relatable women in the public eye by rocking that nude tape in a very DGAF manner.

And that’s not the first time she has stepped out while wearing the child-friendly accessory. In November, she was spotted with a large bandage across her left hand at a women’s center in Gloucester. A few weeks later, she had a wound on her thumb at a children’s event at the Natural History Museum. Isn’t it the children who are supposed to be covered in Band-Aids? Oh, Kate, always getting tussled up.

In August during a visit to the national youth charity Youthscape in Luton, she wore a bandage on her right thumb.

The royal medical tape first made an appearance in 2008 when she was spotted leaving the Boujis nightclub in London wearing the unconventional accessory.

And the Band-Aid isn’t the only thing she wore on Christmas that she’d worn before; she sported the long coat with a fur collar on Valentine’s Day back in 2012 and then again on Christmas of the same year.

No matter what else she’s wearing, the princess makes a bandage look good. Excuse us while we go out and buy a box.
