  • Kate Middleton is hoping her kids will spend more time with baby Archie in 2020.

  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent the holiday season in Canada vs. with the royal family in Sandringham.

2019 was a pretty rough year for the royals thanks to persistent reports of a ~feud~ between Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry. But apparently, Kate Middleton is hoping to spend more time together in 2020 so that her kids (aka Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis) can bond with their little cousin Archie.

A source tells Us Weekly that the duchess is “hoping that in the new year, the cousins will spend more time together,” noting that her three kids “adore” Archie, but “like most children, they’re easily distracted and resilient.”

While we don’t know how much time the family spends together behind the scenes, we do know that Meghan and Harry missed out on several family holiday traditions this year due to spending their Christmas break in Canada—including the queen’s Christmas lunch and the family’s annual trip to Sandringham.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada” and “The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both. The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
