The royal wedding is getting excitingly close, and so is the due date of Kate Middleton and Prince William's third baby. Despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding being mere weeks apart from the birth of the royal baby, the general understanding is that the Duchess of Cambridge will attend the big day.

And while we have no idea which designer Kate will choose to wear to the occasion just yet (our money is on Jenny Packham, though!), there is one detail about her royal wedding outfit that we do know.

According to The Evening Standard, it is protocol for women attending a royal wedding to wear a hat. And we all know that Kate is a bit more of a stickler for the etiquette rules than Meghan Markle, so we could almost certainly expect her head to be covered on the day.

And when we say hat, we don't mean a fascinator, or a hattinator, it has to be a proper, full-on hat.

In fact, this is something that all guests attending the royal wedding should take note of, as Anglican Church rules require women to cover their heads inside the church.

So, while we still don't know what Meghan Markle will be wearing, we can expect to see a lot of exciting headgear heading into the church on May the 19th.
