Kate Middleton and Prince William are at the Queen's Annual Diplomatic Reception tonight, one of the rare events that the Duchess of Cambridge gets to wear a tiara and look every bit the part of an English princess. And in a break from tradition, the Palace has allowed a photographer in the event to capture photos of the royals at it, including a full look at Kate and the gown she wore this year. The Duchess of Cambridge is wearing the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara with a pale blue, fitted Jenny Packham gown that's embellished with crystals. Her hair is up and put together, it's a very Cinderella look:

The yellow ribbon Kate is wearing is the Royal Family Order, an honor from the Queen that recognizes the achievements Kate has made as a working royal. Kate first wore it at the state banquet for the King and Queen of the Netherlands in October:

Kate and William had a busy day today, hosting a Christmas party at Kensington Palace in the afternoon for the families and children of those deployed in Cyprus for RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham. Kate wore a Brora sweater and Emilia Wickstead skirt there:

Tomorrow, Kate and William will fly to Cyprus to meet RAF Akrotiri personnel. They will also make an appearance next Tuesday, where they will visit Evelina London Children’s Hospital and homeless resource centre Passage Charity, Kensington Palace announced last week.
