It’s no secret that the Duchess of Cambridge encourages a healthy and active lifestyle. Prince William has even reported sharing that he “can’t beat” her at tennis! Along with early childhood education, it’s a cause near and dear to her heart.
Kate, during her latest official engagement, took part in a SportsAid event dedicated to championing the parents and guardians of talented young athletes, and looked every bit the part dressed in a casual, laidback look featuring a pair of $72 sneakers.
Following her arrival, the 38-year-old royal was treated to a taekwondo demonstration, and chatted with athletes and their families in the lead-up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Kate, ever the good sport, participated in track and field events, and even learned how to correctly complete a reverse punch from bronze and silver-medal winning Olympian Lutalo Muhammad.

"For all of you here, you go, and have gone, above and beyond the call of duty; you’ve committed your time and devotion to nurturing your children’s exceptional talents," she shared in a speech directed to the parents supporting young athletes.
The event, held at London Stadium, allowed Kate to show off her more casual side, which she fully embraced in a look that was relaxed, yet polished. Dressed in a forest green sweater and matching wide-leg trousers, it was the Duchess’ affordable sneakers that really made the look.
Her pair of Ribbon Detail Lace Up Trainers retail for just $72 from British high street retailer Marks & Spencer. The stylish sneakers, which feature a stripped ribbon trim, are also designed with comfort in mind and are equipped with Insolia Flex technology for extra cushioning.
While they’re currently in stock, the M&S sneakers are selling fast, so you’ll definitely want to snag them while you can.
