Katie Holmes Added This Olsen Twin-Approved Accessory to Her Winter Outfit Formula
It's giving Y2K Mary-Kate and Ashley vibes.
When it's so cold outside that just a coat won't keep you warm, it's time to call for reinforcement in the form of your winter accessories. It's something Katie Holmes knows all too well from living in New York City, where the temperature often dips below freezing.
Fully prepared for the upcoming cold weather, Holmes has already pulled out her favorite winter topper: a baggy beanie à la Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the early 2000s. Most recently, the actress was spotted taking a stroll in the streets of Manhattan wearing her signature outfit formula with the Y2K accessory front and center.
Layering an oversized beige and color-flecked knitted turtleneck underneath a coordinating gray, Holmes finished off her look with wide-leg denim in a light wash, black ballet flats, and a suede Manu Atelier handbag.
She added a pair of dark-lensed aviator sunglasses and a mid-aughts black beanie that swooped over to one side.
This isn't the first time Holmes has worn the Olsen twin-approved accessory around Manhattan. Just a few days ago, the Dawson's Creek alum was photographed sporting the same exact hat in Midtown—but this time, she also added a matching scarf that looped around her neck and on the exterior of her camel-colored jacket. A white T-shirt, light-wash jeans, and a pair of holiday-ready red velvet flats rounded out her rainy-day look.
