Lyst recently unveiled the world’s 10 most wanted fashion items of 2020, and the controversial slides Katie Holmes has been wearing just as often as her favorite Evolvetogether face mask secured the number two spot.
Given that people often favor comfort over style, we’re not surprised by Birkenstock’s favorable ranking. The sandals are obviously easy on the feet thanks to a soft, shock-absorbing footbed designed with extra cushioning for added relief. The signature three-strap upper ensures they stay put, as does the no-slip rubber sole. So it’s understandable why Holmes wears her Arizona Birkenstocks nonstop — and even easier to see why searches for the footwear spiked 225 percent in early spring, according to Lyst.
