Katy Perry is 'feeling threatened' by teen 'Idol' contestant following her incredible audition

17-year-old American Idol contestant Kenedi Anderson made quite the impression Sunday night, when she auditioned with a stunning rendition of Lady Gaga's "Applause" on the piano, which immediately brought excited grins to the judges' faces.

Luke Bryan told Kenedi, “You might be the biggest star we’ve ever seen,” while Lionel Richie declared her “the next big thing in the music business.”

Meanwhile, Katy Perry proclaimed the 17-year-old was “born to be a star,” before the judges handed Kenedi secured one of three highly-coveted platinum tickets – a new twist for Idol's 20th anniversary season, which fast tracks a “best of the best” contestant straight past the first round of Hollywood Week.

From the first note, Katy was stunned by Kenedi’s sheer lung power and passionate delivery, breaking into a broad Cheshire Cat grin. Katy later jokingly offered to be the golden girl’s manager and producer and declared herself a “Keni Kat,” before dramatically whining, “I’m feeling threatened! They are younger, they’re skinnier, they’re prettier… they sing really good! Siri, make an appointment at the plastic surgeon!”
