Everyone’s Met Gala prep is different. There are last-minute dress fittings to be done, beauty masks to be worn and, in Kendall Jenner‘s case, fries to be scarfed.

According to a since-deleted tweet from Access Hollywood, the model ate a completely average meal of “grilled cheese, fries, crepes, and more” — as opposed to, say, seaweed washed down with beetroot juice — before slinking down the Met Gala red carpet in a white jumpsuit.

While there’s nothing particularly remarkable about her dining choices, the (possibly sarcastic) comment that ran with the tweet has rubbed some folks the wrong way.

“Now that is bravery,” the Access Hollywood tweet read.

Critics were quick to mock the comment, which was deleted following the backlash, for promoting the idea that eating is an act of courage.

The uproar came on the heels of criticism that the Met Gala crowd wasn’t representative of larger body types.

“Someone ought to attend the Met Gala and really blow people’s minds by being fat,” talk show sidekick Andy Richter tweeted, and plus-size blogger Gabi Fresh suggested — and drew incredible support for — a Met Gala for “fat girls.”
