To say I’m not a morning person would be an understatement. But early wakeup calls are a fact of life and always have been, regardless of my own internal clock. It’s a good thing I love coffee as much as I do, because day after day, the smell of freshly brewed java has been my main incentive for getting out of my deliciously cozy bed.

For years, I relied on my programmable, 12-cup drip coffee maker. But I’m the only coffee drinker in the house, so when that machine finally tapped out, I decided to switch to a single-serve brewer, the Keurig K-Supreme Coffee Maker. Okay, okay, I’m not exactly breaking ground here. Keurig has long had a cult following — but unless you’ve upgraded lately, you may not realize just how innovative these machines have gotten. Take mine, for instance: the Keurig K-Supreme Coffee Maker — Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Brewer has the ability to customize my cup based on my personal preferences, from strength to temperature. It’s kind of like having a barista take up residence in my kitchen.

Whatever a good cup of coffee boils down to for you specifically — be it rich-as-possible flavor, brew strength, temperature (this one’s got a whopping six settings, from warm to max hot!) or even various cup sizes — this K-Supreme will rise to the challenge with the push of a button. It’s a truly customizable coffee-making magician. It even comes with a reusable coffee filter so you can brew your favorite ground coffee if you want to take a break from K-Cup pods.

It’s hard to even compare my smart Keurig to my trusty old drip coffee maker, even after all those years of loyalty. A pot of coffee came out just fine each morning in that machine, but this single-serve brewer always turns out an exceptional cup of the good stuff without fail. It uses something called MultiStream technology to completely saturate the grounds, producing the richest possible coffee.
