Khloé Kardashian has worked toward a more fit and healthy lifestyle recently; she regularly posts about her intense workouts on her social media channels, which often include cameos from her siblings, and she encourages her fans to get active as well.

On Wednesday, the 32-year-old celebrity shared an article from the blog Pairade on her Facebook page titled “The Kardashians Promote Healthy Body Image to Women and This Is How They Do It.” Khloé added a caption to her post that read “This is really so important to us! Love this!”

The article starts: “The Kardashians have done many wonderful things for the world … but one thing we can all agree on is that they have done their job in promoting a healthy body image for women.”

The author then praises the sisters for what one might consider contributions to this healthy body image promotion — noting that Kim always flaunts her curves and has confidence in her body, Kourtney never hides the fact that she’s had work done, and Khloé has never let negative criticism affect the way she views herself.

The message of the piece resonated enough with the reality star for her to share it with her 18 million Facebook followers. Naturally, people on Facebook had something to say about it. Many pointed out the hypocrisy in considering a family who is often associated with cosmetic surgery being proponents of healthy body image.

Another user thought the author had a warped perspective on the true meaning of healthy body image:

Most people took issue with the Kardashian posting, as it’s widely known that members of her family have experimented with plastic surgery:

However, some users did rush to Khloé’s defense, offering different takes on the article.

Jessica Acevedo wrote: “Nothing wrong with enhancing your looks if that makes you feel better. No different than going to the gym. Positive body image is loving yourself and the changes you made whether at the gym or the doctor’s office. Go on K sisters with your hot, enhanced, down to earth selves.”

Another user, Anette Hatlebrekke, agreed: “True! Keep up the good work! I hope I never see that skinny and unhealthy body ideal again! Long live the curves, even with corrections with plastic surgery — it’s much better than the abnormal and anorectic ideal few years ago before KUWTK.”

Regardless of the flak Khloé received from sharing the article, it’s undeniable that she is an incredibly hard worker who encourages her followers to take on an active lifestyle. It was recently revealed that she will star in a new E! series, Revenge Body With Khloé Kardashian, which is slated to premiere in January. The show will feature 16 participants working to achieve their “revenge bodies,” with the help of a number of prominent fitness trainers, including Gunnar Peterson, Luke Milton, Harley Pasternak, Corey Calliet, Latreal Mitchell, Simone De La Rue, Jorge Cruise, and Lacey Stone.

In the teaser for the series, Kardashian reveals where her love of working out stemmed from. “I was always overweight as a kid,” she said. “If I was stressed out or sad, I would eat. So, I had to learn how to then put all of my energy into something positive and healthy for me, which how I fell in love with working out.”
