Kim Kardashian Channeled Catwoman With an Eye Shield and a Black Mini Dress Over a Turtleneck Bodysuit

Kim Kardashian is living up to her new title with her latest red carpet look. On Tuesday night at the People's Choice Awards, the reality star was honored with the Fashion Icon Award and dressed for the part.

Kardashian kept things in the same vein as the rest of her looks this year by wearing head-to-toe black spandex. The businesswoman wore a bustier mini dress that slightly resembled a nightgown over a turtleneck bodysuit, complete with gloved hands and covered, pointy-toed boots.

She paired the outfit, which was completely embossed with a subtle floral print, with silver statement earrings and an eye shield that belonged in a superhero movie. Like many of her outfits during the latter half of the year, the Catwoman-esque look was all Balenciaga.

Kardashian accepted the award from last year's recipient, Tracee Ellis Ross, and started her speech by saying, "I am honestly so humbled to be here I mean I started off as a closet organizer and a stylist. So the fact that I am winning a fashion icon award, it's like a pinch-me moment."

She went on to thank designers who believed in her and dressed her in the early days of her career, as well as her ex-husband, Kanye West, who taught her a thing or two and helped her get her foot in the door.

"Thank you to Zac Posen who dressed me and took me to my first CFDA awards. And so many amazing designers like Ricardo and Olivier that really believed in me — well, probably were talked into it by getting a call from Kanye," she joked. "So thank you you know, to Kanye even for really introducing me to the fashion world."

The social media star concluded her speech by saying, "I fell in love with fashion, and I'm so inspired by so many people but, again, this is like a dream that I get to wake up and wear these amazing clothes and just try new things, you know, take a risk. I'm so humbled thank you so much."
