Kim Kardashian Didn't Pass Her First Year Law Exam
Kim Kardashian is giving an update on how her law career aspirations are going.
In E! News's exclusive Keeping Up with the Kardashians clip from Thursday's episode, the Skims founder revealed she did not pass the baby bar, the First-Year Law Students' Examination (FYLSE).
"If you are doing law school the way I'm doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program," she explained during a confessional. "And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This would actually harder, I hear, than the official bar."
Her mentor, attorney Jessica Jackson, explained in the clip that Kardashian needs a score of 560 to pass the exam; she got a 474 on her first try.
"That is extremely close on a test that most people are not taking in the middle of a pandemic," Jackson told her.
"I am a failure," Kardashian said in the clip. "I spent six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day, studying and it was so important for me to take this. And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up."

In 2019, Kardashian revealed in a Vogue profile that she was studying to be a lawyer, and had started a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco so that she can take the bar exam in 2022.
"First year of law school, you have to cover three subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts," she said at the time. "To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep. Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me. The reading is what really gets me. It's so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds."
