Congratulations to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who celebrated six years of marriage over the weekend.

Yep, it's been six years since those lavish European nuptials which saw a performance from Lana Del Rey, a personal tour of Valentino's mansion, co-ordinated 'Just Married' leather jackets and - at the time - the most liked photo on Instagram, of Kardashian kissing her new husband wearing a custom Givenchy wedding dress.

The SKIMs founder marked the occasion by sharing two throwback photos of the couple, one in which she sweetly kisses her rapper husband's cheek and another in which they both smile for the camera, with her 172 million followers on Instagram.

'6 years down, forever to go,' the mother of four captioned the photo.

Among the many commenters was Kim's sister Khloe who wrote, 'Long live KIMYE'.

Kim's mother was another who congratulated the couple on their anniversary, sharing a montage of photos of the couple throughout the years.

Since the couple wed in 2014, there have been well documented ups and downs throughout their marriage with the highs including career successes and the welcoming of three more children (their eldest North was born in June, 2013) Saint, Chicago and Psalm. More difficult events have included public feuds with the likes of Taylor Swift, Kardashian being robbed at gunpoint in Paris and West's hospitalisation before he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

The 'Touch The Sky' rapper also experienced a heavy backlash due to comments he made about slavery and his vocal support of President Trump (which has included him wearing a MAGA hat).

In recent weeks, there have been various tabloid reports alleging unhappiness in the couple's marriage. However, the 'forever to go' part of Kardashian's Instagram tribute strongly suggests otherwise putting those rumours to bed.
