The internet is shedding collective happy tears over a kind waiter who helped comfort a stressed-out family this week.

Dallas French and her family headed to a local Olive Garden on Sunday after spending the day at the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Her 6-month-old daughter, Ellee, had tested positive for E. coli, and the whole family was drained and hungry.

"I was trying to make a bottle and spilled it all over me an[d] the floor," French wrote in a Facebook post. She quickly made another bottle for Ellee, delaying her own meal even more. That's when waiter Robert Davis stepped up to the plate, offering to feed Ellee while the rest of the family enjoyed their meals.

"This melted all of us," French wrote. "He didn't even know what we had went through that day and showed us love and understanding."

And the rest of Facebook is melting, too — French's Facebook post about the encounter has been shared almost 30,000 times.

“I’ve got three kids, I know what that moment is like,” Davis told a local FOX affiliate. “If someone came up to feed my kids I would love it."
