Kit Harington Thanks 'Game of Thrones' for His Wife...and Future Babies?
“It gave me, hopefully, my future family."
If you think watching the epic craziness of Game of Throneshas changed your life (or at least a bunch of your Sunday nights), then you’ve got nothing on Kit Harington.
After the show scooped the best drama series Emmy, Harington was asked backstage what being part of GoT as Jon Snow had done for him, and he had a pretty good answer.
“I met my wife in this show,” he said, referring to Rose Leslie, who played Jon's tragic lover Ygritte, and whom he married earlier this year. And that’s not all. Are Harington and Leslie are planning to have little GoT babies?
“It gave me, hopefully, my future family,” he added, “and my life from here on in.” Okay, well, that’s fairly huge.

And just to keep things light, his co-star Emilia Clarke chimed in to say: “Really similar here, apart from the wife bit, basically.”
But Clarke does credit the show with her “entire career,” she said. “It’s given me my entire life as I know it now. I genuinely owe [it] absolutely everything.”
While fans will have to wait until next year for the eighth and final instalment from Westeros, one of the creators, David Benioff, insisted it will be well worth the wait.
“To be honest, the final season is taking a long time because it’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done,” he said. “I think when people see it they’re going to understand why it took so long…. It’s far beyond what we’ve ever attempted before.”
He may have just made the pain of waiting even worse. But here’s a fun distraction: While there has been talk of several spin-offs in the works, HBO has so far only confirmed they’re planning one prequel, set in the Age of Heroes, which was thousands of years before the action of GoT as we know it. And it’s rumored to start filming in Wales next month.
But, even better, according to author George R.R. Martin, who wrote the original books, there are still plenty of other prequel ideas in the running.
“We do have five prequels in various stages of development,” he said. “So we’re not done with Westeros yet.”
