Overseas, Kit-Kats range in flavors from green tea to wasabi, some of which have gained a cult-like following. But here in the U.S., the chocolate-covered wafer has stuck to three main flavors: milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate. But all that is about to change.

Today, Kit-Kat announced that it will be releasing Kit-Kat Duos Mint + Dark Chocolate, a mash-up that will consist of mint crème on the top and dark chocolate on the bottom surrounding the famous crispy wafer.

But don't head out to buy the treat just yet. This combination of flavors won't be available in stores until December 2019. The release comes around the holidays, a time when mint becomes a popular add-on to favorite holiday snacks. So if you're struggling to find last-minute stocking stuffers, you have a tasty option.

A PR representative for the brand told Woman's Day that the mint and dark chocolate flavor was inspired by the very people who love the original flavor: the consumers. Kit-Kat lovers wanted to try a new flavor and, because mint and dark chocolate is such a popular (and yummy) combo, Kit-Kat gave the people what they wanted.

The best part of this whole thing? The mash-up is here to stay. Aside from it being the first duos to come to the United States, it is the first permanent Kit-Kat flavor in almost a decade.

It will be available to purchase in the standard 1.5 oz bar, which retails at $0.99, and in the king size 3.0 oz bar at $1.69.
