Kris Jenner gave her grandson a $3,850 coat -- and the internet isn't happy
The Kardashians are known for their extravagant lifestyles, but the famous family’s latest antics are too much for some of their fans.
Earlier this week, Kourtney Kardashian took to Instagram to show off a photo of her eldest son, Mason, wearing an expensive gift from his grandmother, Kris Jenner.

In the photo, the nine-year-old is seen wearing a Versace Baroque Print puffer coat that retails for $3,850 CAD with the caption, “When @KrisJenner takes him shopping.”
The luxurious gift comes just days after Mason celebrated his birthday with an elaborate Fortnite-themed birthday party that featured a live DJ, big-screen TVs and bean bag chairs for the ultimate gaming experience.

Although the Jenners and Kardashians are known for going over-the-top, the family has received backlash from fans who can’t get over dropping thousands of dollars on a coat for a child.
“That is the summer tax bill for my house,” one person tweeted. “So that’s how the other half lives.”
“Ridiculous,” one woman wrote. “He will grow out of it in a couple of months. I hope they donate it to a needy child.”

Others are chastising Jenner for teaching her grandson to value material things, and urging the family use their money for charity.
“Teach him about humility and philanthropy now just as a preventative measure please,” another fan commented.
“Not many people can toss $3k around on a 9-year-old’s jacket,” a woman named Melissa wrote. “Around 60 underprivileged kids could have gotten a $50 jacket this winter. Kris just tosses her card on the counter and buys a $3k jacket for Mason, a kid who most likely has at least 10 jackets already at home.”

“Buy 60 kids’ $50 jackets from Costco,” another person echoed. “In fact, have him pick out the jackets and deliver them to the women and children’s shelter to personally give to the kids in need. This is all so gaudy. New money and sad.”
