What If Kristen Bell Could Carry a Sloth on the Red Carpet? A Girl Can Dream...
One of the best presents Kristen Bell ever received was a sloth. For her 21st birthday, the actress’s husband, Dax Shepard, rented a wild animal to come to her party. She loved the thoughtful gift so much, she burst into tears (and then even got emotional thinking of the experience when she recalled it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show).
The next year, a pregnant Bell was on Ellen again, and DeGeneres surprised her with a sloth named Lola:
And naturally, when the movie Zootopia featured sloths, Bell had to play one named Priscilla:
But sloths aren’t only fun to voice or celebrate with — they make for great red carpet companions too. So to celebrate the Frozen star turning 37 on Tuesday, Yahoo Style is honoring her love of sloths and her great style by putting the two together (with a little help from Photoshop).
For example, there’s the time she attended the 2014 Oscars and clearly won best dressed that night. Although a sloth could’ve taken the whole look up a notch.
Later that evening, Bell attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party — and she really could have utilized a sloth with her plunging gown.
Hubby Shepard would also look dapper with a sloth. Case in point: The pair could have matched at the 2014 Independent Spirit Awards.
But sloths don’t like just attending award shows … they enjoy movie premieres too and would have loved an invite to the Veronica Mars red carpet.
Finally, what better way to make a grand entrance than with a sloth on your arm?
