“Very Cavallari” is back for a second season on E! and star Kristin Cavallari tells Yahoo Lifestyle, “You see me juggling being a mom, a businesswoman, a wife and a best friend.” The mom of three and Uncommon James founder admits she has a few style and beauty essentials “for keeping it all together,” including cozy slippers, sleek office-ready outfits and false lashes from the drugstore.
“My absolute favorite hair product is Klorane Dry Shampoo because it extends my washing by days,” she says.
“Another favorite hair product of mine is Oribe Texturizing Spray, and it’s really great just for giving your hair some volume and all-over texture,” Cavallari explains. “I like the texturizing spray on days that I have a little wave in my hair because it just gives it more volume and a little bit more bounce.”
The 32-year-old has a sleek go-to work outfit, but switches things up when she’s lounging at home. “When I’m shooting ‘Very Cavallari,’ and I’m going to the office, I really like to wear A.L.C. trouser pants and a simple bodysuit,” she says. “When I’m at home just hanging with my kids, I’m always in Lululemon leggings and Ugg slippers.”
Her makeup must-haves include a mix of a high-end palette and drugstore lashes. “When I’m filming ‘Very Cavallari’ I definitely ‘up’ my makeup a little bit, so I actually do individual lashes every time I film, and the ones I use are by Ardell,” she says. “They’re just easy to do, they’re cheap — you can find them pretty much at any drugstore, so they’re my go-to.”
“When I’m going on a date night with my husband Jay, I like to give myself a little bit more of an eye shadow, and so I do a smoky, but a neutral kind of smoky — and NARS is always my go-to,” she explains. “Jay definitely notices when I put a little bit more effort into my makeup. He actually prefers me with no makeup on; like a typical guy, he hates when I have makeup.”
Cavallari says she wakes up at 5:15 in the morning to work out before her kids get up so that she can spend time with them while she’s making breakfast and packing lunches. “No matter what, if I’m filming my show that day, I’m going to have on 111Skin eye masks just to kind of de-puff. I have them on while I’m doing lunches and everything, and my kids think I’m crazy — but oh well.”
