Kylie Jenner is getting mom-shamed for hanging out in Miami without her baby

Take a quick glance at social media and you might understand why Kylie Jenner spent her pregnancy out of the public eye. Since giving birth to daughter Stormi Webster in early February, the reality star is back in the limelight — and getting mommy-shamed at every turn.

In just a month’s time, Jenner has been criticized for myriad reasons, including hiring nannies, showing off a flat stomach so soon after childbirth, and having long nails that couldn’t possibly change a diaper.

Now the beauty mogul and boyfriend Travis Scott are getting grief for spending time in Miami without their month-old daughter. Scott was in town to perform at Story Nightclub on March 3.

The controversy surfaced after TMZ published photos of the new parents enjoying a boat trip with friends. The photos also captured the 20-year-old holding a beer bottle, though she is legally too young to drink.

The implied boozing also prompted speculation about Jenner’s breastfeeding habits, though experts have ruled that a low alcohol intake (i.e., less than 0.5 grams of alcohol per kilogram of body weight) has a minimal effect on a nursing infant.

Naturally, Twitter had some thoughts.

But the couple had their supporters too.

Sure enough, Jenner has already flown back home. But she’s not the only celebrity catching flak for leaving her little one at home. Country singer Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, also just called out “parent-shamers” who questioned their decision to take a tropical vacation without their 3-month-old son.

“Just a word of wisdom for all the parent-shamers,” Brittany Kerr Aldean wrote on Instagram. “Vacations are OK for new parents to take. Sometimes after being pregnant for almost a year, cooped up in a house for weeks at a time, you need a little sunshine and adult time.”
