Kyra Kennedy has tried her best to stay out of the news — but it's not easy when you've got one of the most famous last names in America. The 20-year-old grandniece of John F. Kennedy rarely grants the press interviews and when she does, she spends most of the time talking about her discomfort with fame. But the coy Fashion Institute of Technology student made an exception to step in front of the camera for her best friend's latest fashion collection.

"She's really shy and she said she would never walk runway but she did it for me. She was really nervous," says Andrew Warren, Just Drew creator and designer. "She's not looking to be famous. She did it because we're best friends and would do anything for each other."

Warren, 23, says his fall line was inspired by Kennedy, as well as his other bold-faced friends, like Tiffany Trump, youngest daughter of Donald; Gaia Matisse, great-great-granddaughter of painter Henri Matisse; and Reya Benitez, daughter of musician Jellybean Benitez.

"My fall collection was based off the New York City 'It' girl," he explains. "I grew up in New York and I have so many girlfriends from different backgrounds and different styles. I really love Kyra's style because she's elegant and classy but also egdy and fun. She's effortless but still gets attention."

Kennedy has certainly been getting attention from the New York gossip columns. The granddaughter of Senator Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—whose brother was President John F. Kennedy—made headlines when she allegedly tried to use her sister Kick Kennedy's ID to enter a club (a story which she insists was "basically fabricated") and later when she got into an online spat with a writer.

Kennedy, Matisse and Trump walked the runway for Warren's first show at New York Fashion Week earlier this year. During the show, Kennedy gave a shy, hesitant smile. But in the latest photos taken by photographer Alana O'Herlihy for Just Drew, she appears confident and fierce. Here's an exclusive look:
