Lanvin Revives the Classic Coquettish Ballerina Shoe

Lanvin is answering the ballet-core girlies' prayers and bringing back the cult-classic Ballerina shoe.

The feminine and flirty footwear was first introduced in the Y2K era, immediately garnering celebrity status as noughties' icons Kate Moss and Angelina Jolie considered the silhouette a staple. The timeless slipper perfectly embodies the effortless elegance the French luxury house puts forward, easily making it a highly coveted item. The Lanvin Ballernia boasts a sleek and simple streamlined shape, featuring an elastic construction, resulting in an incredibly flexible design. Meanwhile, a mini-wedge provides a bit of lift, aiding in comfort for those with less than dainty feet.

The shoe is completed with a juxtaposing pull tab, bearing Lanvin's logo. The Ballerina arrives in a wealth of colors, ranging from black, "Sequoia," "Tangerine" and dark beige. The shoe also welcomes patent and metallic finishes, painted in a classic baby pink, a bright "Flame" and navy blue, alongside gold and silver. Available for $690 USD, the Lanvin Ballerina can be found on the brand's online store, as well as in boutiques. Take a look at the campaign in the gallery above.
