Selena Gomez should really release a fashion coffee-table book called Selena Gomez's Mirror Selfies because every ’fit is a work of art.
All summer long, Gomez has been sharing OOTD photos on her Instagram Stories, which are at least 70% responsible for my current obsession with cottagecore princess dresses and Lemon Girl Style, while simultaneously making me want to rebuild the quintessential cool-girl all-black wardrobe I left behind when I moved from NYC to Los Angeles. How can all these aesthetics exist in harmony? I don't know; ask Selena Gomez. She's the one who has me convinced I could rock the head-to-toe baggy look that would absolutely swallow me in reality.
Are you even best friends if your party dresses aren’t coordinated?
Luckily, I don't have to be delulu to pull off the look Gomez shared on September 15. While standing in front of an intricate gold-framed bathroom mirror, the 31-year-old pop star paired a nude lingerie-style tube top with a simple pair of light-wash blue jeans. The sleeveless shapewear, which may actually be a bodysuit, features a stretchy mesh material with exposed boning, resulting in a snatched yet wearable ensemble for every day. Hell, it could even be worn to work with the right blazer (and job).
The red-hot manicure certainly takes the neutral ensemble to a much more vampy, sophisticated level. Thankfully, celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik recently broke down the look for Glamour, revealing that he used the Tweezerman x Tom Bachik Ultimate Nail Care Set to shape the full-coverage tips into a long tapered square before applying PLA Nails vegan and cruelty-free polish in Chai and Chai Again. Of course, the effect wouldn't be complete without a golden layer of chrome powder before setting everything with PLA Nails No Wipe Top Coat.
While every celebrity outfit these days is seemingly granted a catchy food-related title, I'm going to refrain from dubbing this Pumpkin Spice Latte With Crushed Peppermint Candy Style and simply say that she looks great. And Selena Gomez, if you're reading this and decide to turn this hypothetical coffee-table book into a real business venture, have your people get my address for those royalty checks….
