Like mother, like daughter: 64-year-old Christie Brinkley twins with 20-year-old daughter

The apple doesn’t fall from the tree – especially if you’re Christie Brinkley and 20-year-old daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook. Despite the 44 year age gap, the pair were twinning in workout gear at a recent fitness event.

Sixty four-year-old Brinkley attended the Southampton Sweat event alongside her daughter. Sporting an all-white mesh top, sports bra, leggings and trainers, the supermodel stood proudly beside her daughter, who was wearing an olive green Adidas sports bra and matching leggings.

This isn’t the first time the mother and daughter duo have worn complementary outfits. Two years ago, the pair posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Brinkley Cook told People the experience was “very empowering and liberating,” while her mom said there was no better team to work with.

“I kept saying, ‘If you’re ever going to get your picture taken in a bathing suit, doing it with Sports Illustrated is the way to go.’ It may look like you’re all alone on this beautiful deserted beach but there are two guys standing there with reflectors, putting the light on you,” she said at the time.

One year after the shoot together, Brinkley surprised her then-18-year-old daughter by enrolling her in the SI Swimsuit 2018 Rookie Class – all by herself.

You’re on your own now,” the mom told her daughter. “You’re out of my sandy footprints, and you are on your own!”

Brinkley Cook has been honest about the difficulty of following her mom’s path to fame.

“To be compared to my mother who has this extremely successful career under her belt when I’m just getting started? And to have people say I’m never going to have what she has or be what she is. I’m not trying to be her. But I’m fine. I don’t get hurt by this stuff,” she said.

“It was just such a surreal moment for me because I’ve looked up to all the SI models and my mom – they’ve always been my inspirations.”
