  • Lori Loughlin is reportedly “aware” of Felicity Huffman’s sentence for her part in the college admissions scandal.

  • Lori is also “processing” what it means for her own court case.

While some of you might have been referring to last week as the beginning of fall, I’ve personally taken to referring to it as “part two of the college admissions scandal,” because, wow, is there a lot going on with Operation Varsity Blues.

Yesterday Felicity was finally sentenced for her part in the scandal, and after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and honest services fraud, she was sentenced to two weeks in jail, a $30,000 fine, and will be under supervised release for one year.

However, her fellow college scandal celeb Lori Loughlin has yet to be sentenced, and because she and her husband didn’t take the plea deal, they are gearing up for a court case which could result in a maximum sentence of 40 years in jail if they’re found guilty.

People reports that according to a source, “Lori is aware of Felicity’s sentence and is processing what that means for her. Her only move now is to take this to court and to prove that she is not guilty of what she’s charged with.”

But what, exactly, does she think that Felicity’s sentence means for her? Well, the source adds:

If she’s found guilty, she will go to jail; that is clear. And if another deal is offered to her, which I don’t think it will be, she will go to jail. Her only chance of avoiding jail is to beat these charges. Lori is a smart woman; she understands that. She’s scared and upset, but she’s resolved to be strong and to fight this. She will do what she has to do to protect herself and her family...Lori is going to move forward as best as she can, but now she has a little more clarity about what will happen next.

So, uh, looks like Lori is still just *really* hoping that she’s not found guilty!
