Lorriane Kelly has admitted that she sometimes refers to her guests as “flower” when she has forgotten their names.
The Scottish TV star - who is known for her self-titled ITV talk show - occasionally uses the word flower and various other terms of endearment when she is interviewing famous people.
But she has now confessed that she isn’t just using the words to be charming – as it’s a bit of a cover up too.
The presenter was chatting to comedian Carr about her memory, admitting it was “not wonderful”.
Carr then asked if she had ever forgotten the names of people that she has interviewed.
Kelly replied: “I've basically gotten to the stage now, I just call everybody 'flower' because I'm hopeless at people's names.
"I do forget people's names so yes, that's what I do."
Kelly said she doesn’t just use "flower" when she draws a blank on a name, but has a whole host of other sweet terms that she sometimes cracks out.
They include “petal”, “love”, “angel” and “gorgeous”.
