Reality TV star Louie Spence has revealed he has been "cooking" his late mother's ashes after they became water-logged.

The Pineapple Dance Studios star lost his mother Patsy in 2013 and kept her ashes in a specially engraved urn mounted on a plinth in his garden.

Now the eccentric dance choreographer is moving house and has discovered that rain water had leaked into the ashes.

Spence, 52, shared a video with his 93.3k Instagram followers revealing he was drying his mum's ashes out on his Aga in an old cooking pot he had inherited from her, and had decided to add a dash of whisky to give her drink.

The former Dancing On Ice judge said: "We're moving so we took mum, her ashes, out of this thing we had her in and water had got in there. So we've got her on the AGA drying out in her old pot which is about 70 years old.

"We're going to give her a little drink - we ain't got no vodka so she can have a little bit of whisky. She'll like that."

He added: "So she's had a drop of whisky and instead of having her on top of the AGA we've actually put her on a low heat to dry her out.

"She's been about 1,000 degrees when she was burnt the first time so I think it'll be fine and she won't know because she'll be p***ed from the whisky we just put in there.

"She'll think she's on holiday somewhere."

Spence later updated fans after he had been drying out the ashes for several days, revealing they were "a lovely consistency".

He explained: "A lot of you are asking, 'Why was she was so wet?'. She was on a plinth in the garden. It was sealed but obviously the seal broke and all the water got in.

"One thing she didn't like was swimming and she definitely didn't like getting her hair wet.

"As you can see she turned from sludge - she's coming back alive, not literally - into a lovely consistency here, which then we will be able to repot her back in her urn."

His former Dancing On Ice co-star Jason Gardiner commented: "She's coming back to the right consistency! You're killing me."

Spence was starring as Dandini in a pantomime production of Cinderella in Milton Keynes when his mother passed away in 2013. He was forced to pull out of the panto to be with his family.

He tweeted at the time: "'I'm sorry for all who went to Panto @ Milton Keynes today & I wasn't on, but my Mum has just Passed & I was with my Family.x"

Spence became a successful dance and choreographer after his parents remortgaged their newly bought council house to send him to the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.

He was very close to Patsy and she once featured in an episode of Pineapple Dance Studios going to get Botox with her son.
