Louise Redknapp has opened up on her break-up from ex Jamie Redknapp, describing it as the "toughest thing I've experienced in my life".
The pair, who share two sons, divorced in 2017 after nearly 20 years of marriage.
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday morning, she said: “It’s the toughest thing anyone will ever go through. It’s the toughest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. Every day is a new challenge with it but, yeah, I have to say, the boys are our priority and moving forward like that is all we can do.”
Louise heaped praise on her ex-husband and father of her children – Charles, 15, and Beau, 12 – over his willingness to co-parent.
“He is a fabulous dad, I’m really lucky. I’m actually able to do the job I do because he’s so happy to share everything with me which, I know, I have friends who don’t have that. So I’m really lucky like that. He’s hands on. He’s great," she added.
Back in January, the Eternal singer said she "still loved" Jamie as he was the "father of [her] boys".
"Jamie’s a great dad and is very proud that our sons love me so much. He has old-fashioned values and tells them to respect and love their mum," she shared with Hello!.
The 45-year-old returned to music in recent years, releasing her fourth solo album Heavy Love earlier in the year with the record peaked at number 11 on the UK album charts.
She's set to embark on a UK tour, kicking it off in Southampton on 12 March.
Speaking about her music comeback to Kelly, the mother-of-two remarked: "The nice thing about doing this album, I had no expectations, first time round, ‘Is the second one going to be as big as the first one? Is it going to be as big as Eternal?’ On this, I thought, 'I have nothing to lose'.
"I’m just going to go for it and I think it’s the first time I had lots to write about and things I wanted to say. I thought, ‘You know what, even if I just do this for me, it’s the most important thing I’ve done in a long time because I needed it.”
